One of my biggest goals for the year is to reduce my eco footprint, and I sure would like to use fewer trees. I had no idea there were so many tree-free products out there. My family uses recycled content as much as possible, but I just saw an ad for these Seedling paper towels, which is made from bamboo, and it has me really curious. It's a little pricey for me, but when you consider the cost against the cost of losing trees... it's hard to argue.
A quick search for paper alternatives, bamboo paper or tree-free paper will get you a dozen companies or more. While I think this is great, it also makes it really difficult to choose which company is the best. And do we even need paper towels? Is it more ethical to use sustainable ones or to use the water that's needed to wash reusable cloths? I'm sure it takes even more water to grow them, right? But TP is another story... unless you use reusable TP, too! And honestly, I'm considering that, too.
So what do you think is the best option or the best product? What have you had the most success with and why?
