What a crock! Sorry - I couldn't resist. Speaking of things that can not be resisted - Sears has the Euro-Pro 6 qt. Slow Cooker (Crock Pot) on sale for only $18.99 (plus tax)! You can use pick up in store for free - or ship to home for a small fee. I know what your thinking: "this is so old fashioned and something only my mom would enjoy" - and while that might be true - crock pots can create some of the best tasting, moist, slow cooked food you have ever eaten with little or no effort. In fact, you could just throw all the ingredients you want to use in the crock and let them cook while you are at work or school and when you come back home your dinner will be ready to eat! Voila!
Crock pots can help you reserve your precious time for other, more important things - like playing The Sims, watching TV, or fighting with your significant other. You can even use them to make fondue - how 70's is that, right - but seriously fondue is the bees knees! It is one of those things you can make a lot of, very cheaply - with very little effort and everyone is happy. I am all about starting up a fondue circle - anyone interested? No? Oh.
You can save time and energy on cleanup, too - because you will only have one pot that needs to be cleaned instead of multiple ones that require taking time away from your busy schedule (getting high). No wonder these things revolutionized the 70's! Everyone had more time to "key parties" , polyester, and disco because they were no longer chained to the kitchen! Oh man if only I was not born a decade too late (well several, I suppose) - I could have been in on all the action! Ah just thinking about it gives me the shivers (the good kind). You know what else? Its going to be autum / winter soon - and these are great at keeping your whole house a little warm (and fragrant) for when you get home!
This crock also has a relatively contemporary look to it - being stainless steel and will give a much needed upgrade to the pea green one you might have stored in your pantry (because your so embarrassed to bring it out). What were they thinking with those colors, anyway? It is totally beyond me - but this Euro-Pro 6 qt. Slow Cooker (Crock Pot) is not, so I am going to pick one up and let the good times roll (so should you)!
